​​​​​​​​Debbie Huff is an advanced practice registered nurse. She has been practicing holistic nursing for over 30 years. Deb became interested in holistic techniques while performing bedside nursing. The patients she was treating were stressed for one reason or another. This peaked Deb's interest in complementary therapies for pain management, illness prevention, stress management and numerous other challenges the human being faces. So she started studying different techniques to help people seek inner peace and joy to achieve their goals.

Deb's philosophy is based on the mind, body, spirit connection of well-being. The techniques she uses help with stress management, pain, fatigue, depression, anxiety, grief, fear, and other challenges. Deb uses the following techniques:

Services Provided

  • Reiki – an ancient Japanese word meaning “universal life force energy.” Reiki activates, directs and applies universal energy to help the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Reiki is a safe and comfortable process which promotes balance and the release of blocked energy on a spiritual, emotional and physical level.
  • Therapeutic Touch – is a process of consciously directing and re-balancing energy. It was developed by Deloris Kreiger, PhD., RN and has a strong theoretical framework. The practitioner re-balances a person’s energy field rather than manipulating or touching the skin.  Relaxation, reduced pain and anxiety are benefits of this method.
  • Hypnotherapy – is a natural, normal state of full awareness, peace, relaxation and calmness.  Hypnosis is used to accelerate the body’s healing process, alleviate addictions, and reduce pain and fear. The hypnotherapist guides a person to a state of relaxation and uses the power of suggestion to attain predetermined goals.
  • Intuitive Counseling – is a method of therapy that supports and enhances a person’s ability to achieve a heightened sense of conscious awareness. It assists in the development of the mind, body, spirit connection. This connection helps to relieve stress, problem solve, achieve goals, and attain peace.
  • Breathwork – practicing mindful breathing exercises regularly can be calming and energizing. The breathwork can help with stress-related health problems ranging from panic attacks to pain. Since breathing is something we can control, it is a useful tool for achieving a relaxed and clear state of mind.  Once you develop breathing techniques by practicing every day it will be a useful tool. Everyone can benefit from it. Breathing exercises can reduce stress, improve mood, and help you feel energized. They are simple, easy, and can be done anywhere.​ Breathing exercises are a wonderful way to reduce anxiety, agitation and stress, while promoting relaxation, calm and inner peace. It takes practice and requires some commitment to achieve results. The long-term benefits are well worth the effort – a calm and relaxed body and mind are less prone to health issues.
  • Meditation ​– used for relaxation and stress reduction and is considered a type of mind-body complementary medicine. Meditation can produce a deep state of relaxation and a tranquil mind. During meditation, you focus your attention and eliminate the stream of jumbled thoughts that may be crowding your mind and causing stress. This process may result in enhanced physical and emotional well-being.
